Colour
Pale Straw.
Aroma
An intense aroma of melon/apricot and toasty oak.
Palate
The wine is soft and creamy with hints of peach and nectarine fruit. A well structured wine with integrated nutty oak, nice acid finish and a lingering silky palate.
Winemaking
Single vineyard selection from the Yarra Valley, handpicked and whole-bunch pressed. Only the free run juice used and transferred into french oak. The wine was barrel fermented, given full malo-lactic fermentation, followed by lees stirring and aged for 10 months. It was then filtered, fined and bottled with care.
Viticulture
Sought from a Yering dry grown vineyard under Scott Henry trellising system. A two parcel selection was made to obtain different sugar ripeness and acid levels in the fruit. Fruit was handpicked and harvested. A warm year, great fruit exposure on the vine, which was leaf plucked and shoot thinned created fantastic fruit.
